Wet kit is more than an annoyance — a soaked sleeping bag or spare layers can turn a cold night dangerous, and damp electronics or matches simply stop working. A dry bag is a waterproof barrier you pack the important things inside, so a downpour, a river crossing or a leaking boot doesn't ruin what keeps you safe.
